Aston Pharmacy offers the NHS Contraceptive Pill Service, providing free, confidential advice and support to help you access the right contraceptive pill for your needs. Eligibility criteria apply—see details below or ask in-store.
This NHS service allows you to access contraception directly from your local pharmacy, making contraceptive care more convenient and accessible, especially for those who may find it difficult to visit traditional healthcare settings.
You may be eligible if you are:

Seeking initiation of oral contraception (OC), or
-
Requesting a further supply of your ongoing OC.
Eligibility by pill type:

Combined Oral Contraceptive (COC): from menarche up to and including 49 years of age

Progestogen-Only Pill (POP): from menarche up to and including 54 years of age
Our pharmacy team will assess your eligibility and provide personalised advice.

Visit Aston Pharmacy and ask to speak to the pharmacist about the NHS Contraceptive Pill Service.

The pharmacist will conduct a private consultation to discuss your needs and medical history.

If appropriate, the pharmacist will provide a suitable contraceptive pill along with instructions for use.

If you’re not eligible, our team will guide you to an alternative healthcare provider.
